Art Basel Basel 2025 will take place from June 19–22 at Messe Basel in Switzerland, with exclusive VIP preview days on June 17–18. Featuring 289 premier galleries from 42 countries and territories, this flagship edition continues to cement its legacy as the world’s leading modern and contemporary art fair. Visitors can expect an expansive array of artworks—from iconic masterpieces to provocative new works by emerging voices — spread across curated sectors that celebrate innovation, dialogue, and diversity in artistic practice.
A major highlight of the 2025 edition is the debut of the Premiere sector, spotlighting ambitious presentations of recent works by contemporary artists. The celebrated Unlimited section returns with 68 large-scale installations and performances curated by Giovanni Carmine, while Parcours, curated by Stefanie Hessler, will transform public spaces from Clarastrasse to the Rhine with site-specific installations under the theme “Second Nature.” Katharina Grosse’s immersive installation at Messeplatz will be a central attraction, offering an unforgettable encounter with color and scale.
This year also introduces the Art Basel Awards, honouring trailblazers across the art ecosystem, with winners celebrated during a special summit on June 20. The Art Basel Shop will return as a destination for limited-edition objects and artist-designed pieces.
